The MD Safety Management brief has been to assist in all levels of operations be it from maintenance divisions (planned and reactive) to construction project operations to ensure that Health and Safety Management is at the heart of the supply chain.
MD Safety Management initially developed a comprehensive Health and Safety Policy and a suite of Risk Assessments and Method Statements to cover all of the different trade areas comprising the Company operations such as Plumbing, Joinery, Gas, Electric, Glazing, Fencing, Roofing, Plastering, Brickwork, etc.

The Company has over 45 years of worldwide specialist expertise in sprayed concrete applications, refractory engineering and the supply of "Gunite" and "Shotcrete" equipment.
The Company approached MD Safety Management in 2000 with a requirement to formally document the Health and Safety systems they were already practicing. The challenge was to identify a range of improvements to enable more effective compliance with their increasing client requirements to demonstrate competency.
MD Safety Management responded initially by looking at the Policy approach and Risk Control systems in place resulting in the development of a Health and Safety Policy and a suite of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
On-going consultancy has resulted in expanding the Management System to include a comprehensive Health and Safety Handbook for Employees and other documentation fulfilling the legal requirements for Information, Instruction and Training.
In order to obtain favourable status for Pre-Qualification Processes or Tender List applications MD Safety Management assisted the Company in gaining accreditation to CHAS resulting in a much-increased order book and contracts with major clients. Specific Audit support services included assisting in the process for Tata Steel and Link-Up accreditation (Link-Up Achilles is the UK Rail Supplier Qualification process).
In expanding our range of services we were also able to assist in the Company's requirements to demonstrate their management of environmental impacts. This resulted in the development of an environmental strategy including an Environment Policy.
As the Company works with a large range of Hazardous Substances the safety of its Employees is paramount. MD Safety Management undertook an inventory of Substances and produced detailed COSHH Assessments to comply with demanding Legislation. Coupled with this was the development of a programme of Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) Training. This has led, in turn, to the development of a Competence Management Policy (CMP) demonstrating the Company's commitment to investing in Employee Training.
